Sightings in 2007 The following butterfly species (those in bold) have been seen in Berks County, Pennsylvania in 2007. The listed date is the first date seen in 2007 if known. There have been records of 106 species seen in Berks County. The list below includes all those reported in 2003 through 2007, a total of 77 species plus three found in 2007. Additional species seen in 2007 are shown in red. No doubt other species will be present, but not seen. Some of the 108 species are historical records and many are of strays not often found in the county. Ninety seven of the one hundred eight species are known to have been seen in the past 40 years. No new species were added in 2006. There are 3 new species for 2007. |
